ATW Box End Triathlon
The ATW Box End Triathlon takes place at Box End Lakes in Bedford. This multi-sport event incorporates several competitions, including the Inter Services Triathlon Championships and a round of the East Region Sprint and Standard Triathlon Adult Race Series. The venue is characterized by its clear water quality and scenic on-site run routes.
The event is non-draft legal and features multi-lap courses designed to facilitate spectator viewing. Participants can choose from various distances and formats:
- Sprint Distance: A 750m swim, 23km bike, and 5km run.
- Standard Distance: A 1500m swim, 38km to 40km bike, and 10km run.
- Odyssey Middle Distance: A 2250m swim, 96km bike, and 20K run.
- Aquabike: Swim and bike only options available for Sprint, Standard, and Odyssey distances.
- Relay: Teams of two to three participants for all triathlon distances.
The race is open to all ability levels, from first-time participants to experienced athletes. It features inclusive categories, including a Female category for those assigned female at birth and an Open category for all other athletes.
