Event
The Wellfleet Sprint Triathlon takes place at Long Pond in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. The course includes a 1/4-mile swim in a kettle pond, a 10-mile bike through roads in the Cape Cod National Seashore, and a 3-mile run along a paved course that passes the Beachcomber restaurant and offers ocean views. The bike and run course is on pavement and will be closed to vehicular traffic. The race is USA Triathlon sanctioned and results count toward regional and national rankings.

Logistics and entries
The event offers Individual and Relay Sprint options and a virtual "Tri It Your Way" entry. Entry fees listed on the event page include an Individual Sprint and a Relay Team Sprint, and a lower-priced virtual option. Registration opens January 1 and entry fees increase on March 1. The race benefits non-profit radio station WOMR and Outer Cape Health. There will not be a wait list; the event has sold out several months before race day in previous years. Day-of parking is not available at the venue; participants and spectators are directed to park at Wellfleet’s First Congregational Church and walk or bicycle to the start/finish. Packet pick-up is available the evening before and on race morning; all participants must present photo ID and proof of USAT membership. No e-bikes are permitted.
