27th Annual Cape Cod Against the Tide
The 27th Annual Cape Cod Against the Tide is a multi-sport event taking place at Cliff Pond within Nickerson State Park in Brewster, Massachusetts. This family-friendly event serves as a fundraiser for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC), supporting community education and environmental health programs focused on breast cancer prevention.
Participants can choose from various water and land-based activities. The running events feature courses that have received official USATF certification. Swimming events are held in Cliff Pond, where the use of wetsuits is permitted. The available distances and disciplines include:
- 10K Run (USATF-Certified)
- 5K Run (USATF-Certified)
- 3-mile fitness walk
- 1-mile swim (USMS-Sanctioned, competitive, or recreational)
- 1/2-mile swim (Recreational)
Bibs are distributed on the morning of the event at the registration area, as there is no early pickup available. While online registration remains open until the evening before the event, walk-in registration is also accepted on-site. Participants have the option to form or join teams during the registration process. Please note that pets are not permitted on the beach, with the exception of service animals.
