27th Annual Cape Cod Against the Tide
The event is a family friendly multisport fundraiser held at Cliff Pond in Nickerson State Park, Brewster, Massachusetts, on June 27, 2026. It benefits the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, the only nonprofit in the state focused on preventing breast cancer from environmental causes. Funds raised support MBCC community education programs including Let’s Talk Prevention, an MBCC webinar series, and a student environmental health program.
Event formats offered include:
- USMS‑Sanctioned 1 mile swim
- Competitive 1 mile swim
- Recreational 1 mile swim
- Recreational 1/2 mile swim
- USATF certified 5K run
- USATF certified 10K run
- 3 mile fitness walk
Bibs are distributed at on‑site registration on the day of the event. Online registration closes the evening before the event and walk‑in registration is available at the registration tent on the event day. Refunds are not allowed. Minor children must have parent or guardian authorization and the parent or guardian must sign a release and indemnity agreement. Wetsuits are permitted. No pets are allowed on the beach except service animals.
Route maps for the swim and the run/walk courses are provided. The 5K and 10K courses carry USATF certification codes MA23007BK and MA23006BK respectively.
