Dennis Port 5K / 10K
The event offers two measured distances: a 5K and a 10K that both start and finish at Dennis Port Village Green. Registration is open with a tiered entry fee schedule that increases closer to race day. The event uses chip timing; the timing chip is on the back of the race bib. There is no bag check at the event.
The course runs along the coastline on Old Wharf Road and is described as a flat route. The 5K follows the same course as the 10K for the first 1.2 miles, then turns south onto Shad Hole Road and returns to Old Wharf Road to rejoin the 10K route to the finish.
Volunteers support many roles including registration, course marshaling, water stations, start and finish operations, and cleanup. Volunteers receive a free shirt and are sent instructions before their shift.
Awards include trophies and prizes for the top three overall women and men and prizes for age group champions. Age group categories range from 13 and under up to 80 plus, with standard splits for youth, adult, and masters divisions.
There is free municipal parking next to the start and finish at the Dennis Port municipal lot near Hall Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
