Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandanna 5k

The Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandanna 5k is an annual run organized by the Volunteer & Service Learning Center at Boston College to honor Welles Remy Crowther '99. The 2026 event is the 22nd edition and will be offered both in person and virtually. In-person and virtual participants must register by Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Race-day check-in and limited race-day registration take place at Gasson Hall on the Boston College Chestnut Hill campus. All participants must be checked in or registered before the race, which starts in front of the Gasson Hall Eagle. A course map is provided by the organizers.

The Chestnut Hill campus is accessible by the T. Parking is available in the Commonwealth Ave Garage for a fee. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the event, with limited space.

Social media contributions from participants are collected under the hashtag #BCRedBandannaRun; submitted photos and videos may be considered for the official race video. The event listing thanks multiple campus units and student athletic teams for logistical and volunteer support, including BC Dining, campus police, athletics, the bookstore, transportation and parking, Campus Mission and Ministry offices, and several varsity teams and campus emergency services.
