Pumpkin Pacer 5k @ White Barn Farm
The Pumpkin Pacer is a 5K trail run, walk, and hike through Wrentham conservation land and White Barn Farm property. It serves as the final race in the Farm to Trail 5K Series and is open to all ages. The event supports the farm's mission to preserve open land and promote food security; 5% of registration costs are donated to the Wrentham Food Pantry to provide farm fresh produce.
Course terrain is off-road and includes dirt and gravel paths, rocks, roots, and changes in elevation. The course will be clearly marked and course marshals will be stationed along the route. A water station will be located at about the halfway point. This is a cup-less event; participants should plan to carry their own water. The course is not conducive for strollers.
Registered participants are encouraged to pick up bibs in advance on Friday, October 23 at White Barn Farm, 431 South Street, Wrentham. Check-in on race day opens at 8:00 AM and same-day registration is accepted until 8:40 AM at an increased fee. Additional satellite parking is provided about 0.2 miles from the farm at 513 South Street (Bay State Physical Therapy); participants parking there may drop off passengers and belongings at the farm before parking.
White Barn Farm is a small vegetable farm and farm stand focused on organic production, open-space stewardship, and community education. Basecamp FitCo is listed as a sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
