Welcome Warriors Ninja 5K Fun Run/Walk
The Welcome Warriors Ninja 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place on 02/27/2027 at 725 MAIN ST., Industry, TX. The event is a 3.1 miles run/walk that combines a traditional timed format with a capture the flag competition.
Timing will use RunSignUp's RaceDay Mobile App. Race medals are awarded to all participants. Capture the flag winners in each race division receive a prize, and special awards are given to the top overall male and top overall female timed finishers. Participants who register by February 14 receive a t-shirt. The registration fee is $25. Registration opens 12/28/2026 and closes 1/22/2027.
The capture the flag format places a colored flag for each race division at the halfway point. The first person in a division to bring that flag across the finish line wins the division. If another runner in the same division catches up, they may tag the flag holder; the tagged runner gives a 10 yard advantage and may continue to try to recapture the flag. The timed format remains available for official finish times.
The event is a fundraiser for Welcome Sports Ministry, an outreach of Welcome Lutheran Church that provides free martial arts lessons focused on self defense for all ages.
