Blue Bell Fun Run
The Blue Bell Fun Run is a community road race in Brenham, Texas, organized by Run for the Youth of Washington County. The event offers multiple measured and USATF certified courses and raises funds and support for youth programs in Washington County.
Distances include:
- Kids' Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (certified 13.1-mile course)
Every finisher receives a commemorative participation medal and an official event T-shirt. Runners and walkers can enjoy Blue Bell Ice Cream treats at the finish line. Local student athletes serve as volunteers during the event.
The event provides logistical support such as park-and-ride parking to ease arrival and departure. Officially measured courses allow participants to compete on certified routes and to use times for qualification purposes where applicable.
The Blue Bell Fun Run began in 1978 to benefit Brenham High School athletics and now serves a broader community role by promoting physical activity and character development among youth in Washington County. The organizer publishes race-day guides and resources for participants in the lead-up to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
