Blue Bell Fun Run : Brenham, Texas
Run For the Youth of Washington County hosts the 48th Annual Blue Bell Fun Run on March 21, 2026, in Brenham, Texas. The event offers separate race options on the same day and follows roads through the hills of Brenham amid bluebonnets and other wildflowers.
Available distances and events:
- Kids' 1 Mile for children age 10 and under
- 5K walk or run
- 10K run
- Half marathon for longer distance runners
Every participant receives Blue Bell ice cream at the race, a participant t shirt and a participant medal. Half marathon entrants receive an additional 13.1 t shirt and a 13.1 medal. Awards are distributed at the awards table: top overall male and female receive a medal only, top three in each age group receive medals, and all participants receive a participant medal.
The race began in 1978 to benefit the Brenham High School Athletic program. Today the event supports the physical health and character development of youth in Washington County through the Run For the Youth of Washington County organization. Brenham High School athletes serve as volunteers. A family or group discount applies when four or more participants register together in a single transaction.
