Race details
The event is hosted by Run For the Youth of Washington County. It began benefiting Brenham High School athletics and now supports charitable and non-profit programs that promote the physical health and character of youth in Washington County. Brenham High School athletes serve as volunteers.
Runners follow a course through the hills of Brenham and are said to pass bluebonnets and other wildflowers. Every runner receives Blue Bell ice cream, a participant t-shirt, and a participant medal. Half marathon entrants receive an additional 13.1 t-shirt and a 13.1 medal. Updated awards specify medals for top overall male and female, medals for the top three in each age group, and participant medals for all. Awards are picked up at the awards table.
Packet pickup is held at Brenham High School on the weekend before the race. A family or group discount is available: four or more registrants in a single transaction receive $5 off per participant.
