Welcome Home 5k Run/Walk 2026
The Welcome Home 5k Run/Walk takes place in Louisville at 1100 E Market St on October 3, 2026. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series, which awards a Run the 502 Finisher Medal to participants who complete six designated races.

A virtual option allows participants to complete the 5k at a location of their choice and submit results between October 1 and October 4. Finisher certificates and rankings become available on October 5.
The event supports Home of the Innocents, an organization founded in 1880 that provides residential and community behavioral health services, therapeutic foster care and adoption services, long term skilled nursing care for children and young adults with medical complexities, and public services such as an aquatic therapy center and pharmacy. These programs serve nearly 4,000 children, adults, and families each year.
Registration is available with tiered pricing that increases over time. A Family of Four registration option offers a discount compared with separate registrations.
