Weight of War Run 2026 - Karratha
The event is a community run organised by Weight of War Limited at Backyard Ultra Track, 275 Bayview Road, Gap Ridge, WA. Participants can choose between several distances and may optionally wear a 10 kg weighted vest and budgy smugglers; the vest symbolises the invisible weight some veterans carry and the swimwear symbolises the courage to ask for help.
Distances offered:
- 21 km
- 14 km
- 7 km
- 1 km walk
There is no formal timing, no placings and no prizes. Entry is free for all participants and registration is processed through the event website so participants are on the official start list and have signed the participant waiver. Funds raised support veteran mental health through partner organisations Survive To Thrive Nation and Zero79 Foundation, and donations are collected through a separate fundraising page.
The event is listed as in-person. A refund policy is in place allowing refunds up to 21 days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
