WEBF Strides for Education 5K and Kids Fun Run
The WEBF Strides for Education event is an annual community running event held in the heart of Waltham on historic Moody Street. The 2026 edition takes place on May 3, 2026 and includes a run for adults and a short fun run for children.
Event distances
- 1k Kids Fun Run for participants in grades K-3.
- 5K Road Race along Moody Street and the DCR Riverwalk.
Bib pickup is available the day before at Shopper's Cafe and on race day at designated parking lot locations for the 5K and the Kids Fun Run. The 5K route travels along Moody Street and the nearby riverwalk. A post race celebration is held at Shopper's Cafe.
Registration options for the 1k Kids Fun Run include a choice with a race t shirt or without. Every registered kids fun run participant receives a free kiddie ice cream from sponsor Lizzy's Ice Cream. The event is organized by Waltham Education and Beyond Foundation and is supported by multiple local sponsors, community organizations, and businesses.
