We Need To Talk About Chevin + Chevin is BS
Two fell races start from Station Top, LS21 3BN and run on public footpaths and trails across Otley Chevin. The courses climb the 217 steps to Surprise View, include steep ascents and descents such as Danefield Climb and Miller Lane, and pass through Poolscar Wood and Fells Plantation. The route is partially marked and runners must navigate between checkpoints using the provided race map; digital navigation equipment is not allowed under FRA rules.

- 14 km / 9 miles, Category BM, 650 m elevation
- 9 km / 5.5 miles, Category BS, 390 m elevation
Both courses use dirt, rocky ground, grass and footpaths. Each race has an entry limit of 200. A water refill station is located at 6 km on the longer route and no cups are provided. There is a designated bag area near the finish. A race map is provided and is mandatory kit. Organisers strongly advise suitable off-road footwear and a personal water container; in poor weather additional kit such as waterproofs, hat, gloves, compass and emergency food may be required. Checkpoint 5 (6.5 km) has a 70 minute cut-off for the longer race; runners arriving after this will be returned to the start. There are no cut-offs for the shorter race.
