Event overview
Great Owl Running stages two fell races in Otley, West Yorkshire on 21 March 2026. Both races start and finish on Station Road with race HQ and registration at The Black Horse, 2 Westgate, Otley LS21 3AS. Entry places are limited to 200 for each race and entry fees range from £12.00 to £19.00 depending on entry type. All finishers receive a complimentary pint of Craven ale; medals and t-shirts are optional extras sold at entry.

Course and logistics
Terrain includes dirt, rocky ground, grass and footpaths. The longer course passes Surprise View, West Gate, Danefield, Poolscar Wood, Fells Plantation, Miller Lane and Jonny Lane. The shorter course follows many of the same checkpoints and returns via Deer Park and Chippendale Ride. Courses will be partially flagged and a paper map is provided; the use of digital navigation equipment on race day is not allowed under FRA rules.
A water refill station is located at 6 km. Small bags may be left at a designated start/finish area. Runners must be confident they can meet the cut-offs: checkpoint 5 (6.5 km) has a 70 minute limit for the BM race; there are no cut-offs for the BS race.
