Spring Time Canal Canter
This event takes place on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal at Wyther Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds LS5 3BT. Runners follow a flat out and back route on good trail surfaces along the canal. The course is described as flat with lakeside sights and is suitable for runners seeking a steady, even surface.
Feed and drink stations are positioned approximately every three miles and offer drinks and a range of food. The event aims to be cup free so runners are encouraged to bring a reusable cup or bottle. The course is marshalled and signed and bibs are issued at on the day registration. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and postrace treats.
Races are licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. There may be unmarshalled road crossings on the route. Large over ear headphones are banned; bone conduction or one in one out earphones are suggested if audio is required. Runners should notify the nearest marshal if they need to retire or require assistance.
Practical information includes nearby public transport and parking notes. The closest train station is Headingley on the Northern service. There is no parking at the start finish but local parking is available including Kirkstall Morrisons a short walk away.
