Spring Time Canal Canter
Spring Time Canal Canter takes place on 20 March 2027 at the Leeds/Liverpool Canal, Wyther Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds LS5 3BT. The route is an out and back along the canal towpath on good trail surfaces and is described as entirely flat.
Distances offered include:
- 10K
- 10 Miler
- Half Marathon
- 20 Miler, two 10 mile laps
- Marathon, two half marathon laps
- Ultra Marathon, two half marathon laps plus 10K
The course is marshalled and signed. Feed and drink stations are provided roughly every three miles and organisers aim to operate cup-less stations, so runners are advised to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Bibs are issued on the day at registration; registration and toilets are next to the canal. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a selection of post race treats.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. Access notes state there is no parking at the start and finish, with local parking available including at Kirkstall Morrisons about a five minute walk from the start area.
