Event overview

The Haworth Hobble is an off-road ultramarathon held on Saturday 14 March 2026, organised by Keighley & Craven AC and based at Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth, BD22 8DW. The route is a moorland traverse around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge with a distance of 51 km / 31.7 miles and total ascent of 1,340 m / 4,396 ft. The minimum age to enter is 18. Entry fees are listed at £28 for standard senior entries and £18 for under-25s; FRA members receive a discount. The event accepts individual and pair entries across gender categories, and some places are reserved for mountain rescue team members.

Race details and support

The course is remote and exposed; GPS devices are not permitted for navigation and full Fell Runners Association mandatory kit is required. In addition entrants must carry a foil blanket or bivvy bag, a minimum 0.5 litre water carrying capacity and an extra long-sleeved thermal base layer not worn at the race start. Competitors are issued with trackers from Open Tracking. The organisers provide waterproof race maps for sale, organised reccy runs, kit checks, and six staffed feed stations offering drinks, basic food and additional hot items at some stations; post-race hot food and drinks are provided. Safety cover includes event safety teams and external medical support with ambulance/4x4 response.
