Haworth Hobble Ultra Marathon

The Haworth Hobble is a point to point ultra running event across gritstone moors around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. The route is approximately 51 km / 31.7 miles with about 1340 m / 4396 ft of climb and includes long sections of trail and exposed, remote moorland. GPS devices are not permitted for navigation and the race is classified as Category BL.

Competitors must meet the stated skills and experience requirements and be at least 18 years old. Full Fell Runners Association mandatory kit is required. In addition runners must carry a foil blanket or bivvy bag, a minimum 0.5 litre water carrying capacity and an extra long sleeved thermal base layer that is not worn at the race start. Given the time of year there is an expectation that entrants will carry more than the minimum kit for potentially wintry conditions.

Six well stocked feed stations are provided on the route with a mix of standard items and hot options reported in past editions. Hot food and drinks are available at the finish. Detailed waterproof course maps, checkpoint distances and cut off information are supplied for competitors. In exceptional circumstances the organiser reserves the right to shorten the course to a shorter bad weather option. The event is volunteer run and proceeds support local clubs and community causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
