About the race
The Haworth Hobble is an annual fell race scheduled for 13 March 2027 and organised by Keighley and Craven Athletics Club. The course covers 52 km / 32.4 miles with approximately 1700 m / 5500 ft of ascent and follows gritstone moors around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. The race venue is Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth BD22 8DW, grid ref SE 03143 37265. The event is classified as Category BL and GPS devices are not allowed for navigation.
Competitors must be at least 18 years old and carry full FRA mandatory kit plus additional items required by the organisers, including a foil blanket or bivvy bag, a minimum 0.5 litre water capacity and an extra long sleeved thermal base layer not worn at the race start. The organisers note the race takes place on exposed moors in late winter and competitors are responsible for assessing the risks and ensuring they have the necessary navigation and survival skills. In exceptional circumstances the course may be shortened to a 21 mile bad weather route.
There are six staffed feed stations on course offering water, squash, cola, fruit and typical race foods, with additional hot food options at some stations. Pre-race and post-race refreshments are provided. Entry procedures, kit lists, maps, GPX files and cut offs are published by the organisers, and entries for 2027 open on 1 October 2026 via SI Entries.
