Event

The 45th Haworth Hobble takes place on Saturday 14 March 2026. It is an off-road ultra organised by Keighley & Craven AC and held from a base at Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth, BD22 8DW (grid ref SE 03143 37265). The advertised distance is 51 km / 31.7 miles with 1340 m / 4396 ft of climb. The event is category BL with an FRA permit and has a minimum age of 18. Entry for senior competitors is listed at £28; entries opened on 1 October 2025 and closed on 31 January 2026.

Course and logistics

The route traverses gritstone moors around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. It is remote in places and organisers state experience and navigation skills are required. GPS devices are not permitted for navigation. Full FRA mandatory kit is required plus a foil blanket or bivvy bag, an additional long-sleeved thermal base layer (not to be worn at the start) and a minimum 0.5 litre water carrying capacity. Trackers are issued to competitors for live tracking.

Support includes six feed stations with food and hot options, pre- and post-race hot and cold drinks and hot food at the finish. Detailed waterproof race maps are available for purchase at reccy runs and at registration. Organised reccy runs and kit checks are provided in the winter.
