Event overview
The Haworth Hobble is an annual off-road ultra held in March. The 45th edition is a club-organised fell race based at Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth (grid ref SE 03143 37265). The course is listed as 51 km / 31.7 miles and has about 1340 m (≈ 4396 ft) of climb. The event is category BL and is run on moorland and trails around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. GPS devices are not allowed for navigation. All competitors are issued with live trackers.
Course and safety
The route crosses exposed, remote moors and can have wintry conditions. Full Fell Runners Association mandatory kit is required. Additional mandatory items include a foil blanket or bivvy bag, a long-sleeved thermal base layer not worn at the start, and a minimum 0.5 litre water carrying capacity. Kit checks are carried out prior to registration. Organisers reserve the right, in exceptional circumstances, to shorten the race to a 21 mile bad weather course.
Entry and race logistics
Pre-entry is required and places were sold via SI Entries. Entry fees for 2026 were shown as £28 for seniors with reduced rates and an FRA discount. Entries opened 1 October 2025 and entries closed on 31 January 2026; the event was listed as full. The race has six staffed feed stations with hot and cold options and maps available for sale at registration. There are organised reconnaissance runs in winter.
