Event overview

The Haworth Hobble is an annual off-road fell race organised by Keighley & Craven AC. The 45th edition takes place on Saturday 14 March 2026 at Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth, BD22 8DW. The route is a remote traverse of gritstone moors around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. Distance: 51 km / 31.7 mi with 1,340 m / 4,396 ft of climb. The race holds a BL category permit and GPS devices are not allowed for navigation. Competitors must meet the event skills and experience requirements (ER, LK, NS). Minimum age is 18 (eligible if age 19 by 31 December in the race year).

Logistics and requirements

Entries open 1 October 2025 and close 31 January 2026. Entry fees are listed as Senior £28 and Under 25 £18, with a £4 discount for FRA members; optional race clothing is available for an extra charge. Full FRA mandatory kit is required and the organiser also requires a foil blanket or bivvy bag, a minimum 0.5 litre water carrying capacity, and an extra long-sleeved thermal base layer not worn at the race start. There are organised reccy runs, waterproof race maps available for sale, and competitors will be issued with trackers by Open Tracking. Six feed stations are provided on course offering basic items plus additional hot options; post-race food includes hot pizza and cake. The event is volunteer run; there are no refunds, deferral and substitution rules apply within stated deadlines. Profits support local clubs and rescue services.
