Punk Panther Welcome Way (14 March 2026)
The Punk Panther Welcome Way is a trail race in Otley, West Yorkshire, organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons. The route largely follows the Welcome Way, a circular trail across moorland, alongside rivers, canals and reservoirs, across farmland and through woodland. High points include Otley Chevin, Burley and Baildon moors. The event offers the following distances:
- 13 Miles - 1360 ft climb
- 20 Miles - 2280 ft climb
- 34 Miles - 4240 ft climb
- 50 Miles - 6000 ft climb
The race is limited to entrants aged 18 or older and has a maximum of 200 places. Entry fees are listed per distance and entries open and close on specified dates. The finish and registration address is Otley Cricket Club, Cross Green, Otley, LS21 1RB. Dogs are not permitted inside the cricket club at registration or at the finish.
Race operations and requirements
Checkpoints include CP1 (Denton) and CP2 (Burley) on all courses; CP3, CP4 and CP5 are on the ultramarathon courses only. Checkpoints provide water, coke, energy bars and crisps; runners who reach a checkpoint after it has closed will be retired from the race. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; shorter-distance runners may hire a tracker for a fee. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and may be checked on the course; items include a waterproof jacket, fluids, cup, survival bag, whistle, personal first aid kit and a hard copy of the map/route description. Drop bags are accepted only for the 50 mile course and will be transferred to CP3. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
