WCPS Zombie Run (5K Run/1 Mile Walk)
Presented by the WCPS Employee Wellness Committee, this event takes place on 10/10/2026 at Winterplace Park, 6737 Blue Ribbon Pkwy, Salisbury, MD 21804. It is open to WCPS employees and their families and friends. Registration is free for all; a separate registration is required for each participant including children. Registration opens September 1, 2026 and closes October 10, 2026.

Event activities include door prizes, giveaways, chair massages, reflexology, snacks, and family activities such as corn hole and putt putt. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female overall and in the age groups 19 and under, 20 - 39, 40 - 59, and 60 and up. WellAware participants earn 500 points for taking part.
The event schedule includes a check-in and registration period, a block of activities before and after the run/walk, pre-run announcements and warm up, the run with walkers following, prize drawings, an awards ceremony for the 5K, and a conclusion. Participants are asked to follow the orange numbers on the on-site map when moving between areas and to deposit raffle tickets as instructed. Walkers should keep to the right at the finish to allow runners to pass. Limited snacks and water will be available.
