Wayside 5K at Martha Mary Chapel, Sudbury MA
The Wayside 5K is a community fund‑raising run and walk scheduled for October 3, 2026, at the Martha Mary Chapel on Dutton Road in Sudbury, Massachusetts. The event is presented as a revival of the Marlborough Community Foundation Race and is run in partnership with the Wayside Inn Foundation.
The race continues a multi‑decade tradition that has previously attracted over 250 participants and raised funds for scholarships supporting local students. Proceeds from the event will benefit economic development within the foundations' service areas and support education and the Wayside Inn’s historic site and programming.
Event logistics noted by the organizer include portable bathrooms onsite, packet pickup the morning of the race at Martha Mary Chapel, and parking available at Martha Mary Chapel and the field adjacent to Dutton Road. The course will include water stations and an official timing system. There is a course cut‑off time and a First Aid station at the start/finish area. Awards will be given to the top two adult males and females and to the top youth male and female.
The event is described as family friendly. Strollers are allowed but should start near the back of the field for safety; dogs are not permitted on the course, while service animals are welcome.
