Strawberry Festival 5k/8k Run

The Strawberry Festival 5k/8k run is an annual event held in Albion, New York. Recognized as the longest running race in Orleans County, the event takes place through the Village of Albion and along the Historic Erie Canal. The event is organized by Wolfpack Multisport, with proceeds benefiting the Rotary Club of Albion.

Participants can choose from several distance options:

  • 5 km Race
  • 8 km Race
  • 5 km Over 70 (open to ages 70-100)
  • 8 km Over 70 (open to ages 70-100)

Both the 5 km and 8 km courses are USATF certified. There is no course cutoff time for either distance. Water stops are provided along the route, though participants should note that electrolytes and Gatorade are not supplied.

Packet pickup occurs on State Street near the start and finish line. For those driving to the event, State Road is blocked off early in the morning for the race and the subsequent festival; participants must follow all posted parking regulations. While State Street is closed for the start/finish area and festival preparations, other roads remain open to traffic during the event.
