Daniel's Race - Churchville, NY
Daniel's Race is a community 5K held on August 8, 2026, at Churchville-Chili Middle School, 139 Fairbanks Rd, Churchville, NY 14428. The event began in 2005 to help a family with medical costs and is now held in remembrance of a 16-year-old who died from melanoma. The race supports melanoma awareness and directs its proceeds each year to a family or organization that helps children with life-threatening illnesses.
Pre-registration benefits include a free T-shirt offered to the first 100 pre-registrants or to those who register at least two weeks before the race. Pre-registration packets can be picked up at Rochester Running Company, 1387 Mount Hope Ave, Rochester, NY. Registrations submitted after the pre-pickup period are available for pickup at the pre-registration table on race day.
There are no registration refunds; all proceeds are donated to support a specific family in need, the Golisano Children’s Hospital Financial Fund, and a CCHS scholarship established in memory of the teen the race honors.
