Wausau Marathon
The Wausau Marathon is held in Wausau, Wisconsin on August 23, 2026. The event includes multiple race options and a course that crosses the Wisconsin River and passes scenic sections of the region. Some event activities take place at Marathon County Park.

- 5K (free for 2026 registration)
The course is USATF certified and is eligible for use as a qualifier for the Boston, Chicago, and New York marathons. In 2025, 9.5% of the field qualified for Boston.
A myTEAM TRIUMPH program operates within the event. myTEAM TRIUMPH distinguishes Captains, athletes with a disability, and Angels, able-bodied guides who run alongside Captains. myTEAM TRIUMPH participants have access to a Photo Circle for uploading and sharing race day photos across years.
