The Wausau Marathon takes place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Wausau, Wisconsin. The race base is Marathon County Park (Wausau, WI 54401). The event includes these distances and formats:

The course crosses the Wisconsin River and passes through scenic parts of the region. The course is USATF certified and is eligible to be used as a qualifier for the Boston, Chicago, and New York marathons. In 2025, 9.5% of the field achieved a qualifying time.

The event includes a myTEAM TRIUMPH program that pairs able-bodied athletes called Angels with Captains, who are athletes with a disability. Angels guide Captains during the marathon, half marathon, or 5K. The program maintains a Photo Circle for participant race-day photos.
