The Wausau Marathon takes place in Wausau, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 23, 2026. This is the 15th annual edition. The event program includes multiple race options and a marathon relay. The course crosses the Wisconsin River and passes through scenic parts of the region.

The marathon course is USATF certified and is eligible for use as a qualifier for the Boston, Chicago, and New York marathons. In 2025, 9.5% of the field achieved a qualifying time. Posted entry fees before price increases are $70 for the marathon, $55 for the half marathon, and $150 for the relay. The 5K is listed at no charge for 2026; 5K registration closes on August 21, 2026. Some event prices increase after December 31, 2025.
