Run for Their Lives 5K, Wausau
Run for Their Lives 5K in Wausau offers both an in-person 5K Run/Walk and a virtual 5K Run/Walk to support the Humane Society of Marathon County. The in-person event is based at Immanuel Baptist Church, 152111 Tulip Lane, Wausau, WI.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 for both options. The in-person registration closes May 1, 2026 and the virtual registration closes May 21, 2026. The registration fee for each option is $25.00. The in-person event includes chip timing.
Packet and t-shirt distribution is organized as follows: drive up packet and t-shirt pick up is available Friday, May 29, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church (east parking lot). Walk up packet and t-shirt pick up is available at Immanuel Baptist Church on race day from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Virtual participants may pick up shirts and packets Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Humane Society of Marathon County. Participants registered before May 21 may opt to have shirts and packets mailed; mailed packages are sent on May 21.
Awards are handed out at the in-person event and mailed the following week to virtual participants. Participants are invited to bring dogs to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
