Wauconda Triathlons 2026
The Wauconda Triathlons take place in Wauconda, Illinois, with the main event site situated at Cook Park on North Main Street. Organized by the Wauconda Park District, this multi-sport event offers several different race formats and distances to accommodate various preferences and physical requirements. Participants can register for several individual categories, including age group, open, Clydesdale (men over 220 lbs), and Athena (women over 165 lbs).
The event features the following distances and disciplines:
- Olympic Triathlon: Standard distance available for individuals, relay teams, and elite athletes.
- Sprint Triathlon: A shorter distance format for individuals, relay teams, and beginner participants.
- Duathlon (Short): A run-bike format consisting of a 12 mile bike and a 3.1 mile run.
- Duathlon (Long): A run-bike format consisting of a 24 mile bike and a 6.2 mile run.
- Aquabike: Swim and bike distances available in both Sprint and Olympic categories.
The competition allows for both individual entries and relay teams for the triathlon distances. Registration fees vary based on the selected distance and category.
