The seventh annual Watermelon Dash takes place in August at Karbach Brewing Co. in Houston. This family friendly event is the third race in a summer series and offers a 5K, 10K, and a kids 1K walk.

Watermelon Dash Houston

The Watermelon Dash Houston is an event on Saturday, August 8, 2026. It is the seventh annual edition and the third event in the Summer Dash Series, which also includes the Lemonade Dash and Popsicle Dash.

The event takes place at Karbach Brewing Co. on 2032 Karbach Street in Houston. Free parking is available on-site.

Participants can choose from several distances:

A 5K run, described as a single loop.
A 10K run, described as two loops.
A Kids & Family 1K walk.
Virtual 5K and 10K options.

Packet pickup is available on Thursday, August 6, at Sun & Ski Sports Westheimer on Westheimer Road. A race day packet pickup option is available for an additional fee.

Awards are presented for the top three overall male and female finishers, the top three masters overall male and female finishers, and the first-place winner in each 10-year age group division. Awards must be claimed at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
