The AdventHealth July 4th Watermelon 5K is a community road event held in Winter Park, Florida on July 4, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5K and a free kids' run, plus a virtual 5K option for remote participants.

The 3.1 mile course is USATF certified and starts on Park Avenue, routing through streets of Winter Park. The event is presented with on-site features such as ice cold watermelon, a watermelon eating contest, yard games, and a gender specific tank option. Race swag includes a T-shirt and a finisher towel, and a Watermelon 5K mini towel is listed among event items.
Registration is available for in-person and virtual participation with tiered entry fees that increase closer to the event date. Seventeen and under and 65 and over receive a $10 discount; a 15% discount applies for online registrations of three or more participants under one transaction. Military participants and dependents are eligible for a $10 discount.
The event supports the Track Shack Youth Foundation. Additional elements include a team challenge that awards a $500 donation to a qualifying local 501(c)(3) organization for the team with the most participants, a food drive for the Orlando VA Medical Center VSO Food Pantry, and special provisions for wheelchair athletes and stroller operators.
