Waterfront 5K - Wellington (2026/27 Season)
Wellington Scottish presents a Summer 5k series held on Tuesday evenings across the 2026/27 season, running from 27 October 2026 to 23 March 2027. Each event is a single 5 km road race along Wellington’s waterfront that passes Te Papa, the marina bridge, Clyde Quay wharf, and Oriental Bay before returning to the start near the diving platform.
In-person registration and bib pickup, plus bag drop, take place at Sports and Rec on Taranaki Street. Online registration is available for the first race. A participation fee of $6.50 applies. Participants must be present and have paid to be eligible for spot prizes.
The course includes marshalled points at the Clyde Quay wharf turn, the traffic turnaround at the north end of the wharf, and at the turnaround on Oriental Bay. The route is alongside popular waterfront areas frequented by beachgoers and cyclists during summer; runners are asked to be courteous to other users. The series schedule lists six race dates: 27 October 2026, 17 November 2026, 10 December 2026, 19 January 2027, 16 February 2027, and 23 March 2027.
