Waterfront 5K : Wellington
The Waterfront 5k is part of the 2026/27 Summer 5k series running from 27 October 2026 to 23 March 2027 in Wellington. The event is organised by Wellington Scottish and is held on Tuesday evenings for the listed race dates in the season.
In-person registration and bib pickup are at Sports and Rec on Taranaki Street, and online registration is available via the series race entry. The entry fee is $6.50. Race bib pick up and a bag drop are provided at Sports and Rec.
The course starts near the diving platform and follows Wellington’s waterfront past Te Papa, along the bridge by the marina, around Clyde Quay Wharf, then onto Oriental Bay to the turnaround just past Carlton Gore Road before returning to the start. The course is marshalled at the Clyde Quay Wharf turn, the traffic turnaround at the north end of Clyde Quay Wharf, and at the turnaround. The waterfront is frequently used by beachgoers and cyclists during summer, so participants are asked to be courteous to other users.
