Te Ahumairangi 10000

Te Ahumairangi 10000 is a track festival for the 10,000 m distance held at Newtown Park in Wellington on 14 November 2026. The event is organised around individual races and a team relay format, with entry sections for faster and slower runners and the possibility of an additional race if entries require it.

The festival includes designated pacers to help runners target specific times, and prizes across multiple categories including cash awards for the top five men and women, spot prizes, fastest last lap, top club prize, commentator awards, and vouchers for relay winners. Food and drink options are available on site from a food truck and a planned coffee cart, and water taps are provided. Venue facilities include changing rooms, toilets, parking, and grandstand seating; local bus routes serve the area.

Sponsors for the event include local investment and sporting organisations. The organisers list historical race records for several categories and note that the event has been run annually since 2018 with a focus on community and team racing.
