Waterford Half Marathon
The Waterford AC Half Marathon attracts about 2,500 runners and joggers to Waterford and acts as the club’s main fundraiser. Money raised supports the development of the club’s juvenile section and the promotion of athletics in the city. Waterford AC runs over 300 training sessions per year for ages 5 through masters grade.
The event is a measured and certified half marathon course and holds an Athletics Ireland permit; it is fully insured. All finishers receive a medal and the Waterford bobble hat, and the event offers an increased prize fund. Entry is a flat fee of €40 plus booking fee regardless of registration date.
Location and logistics are based at the SETU Arena, West Campus, Carriganore, Co. Waterford (EIRCODE X91 XD96). Parking is available across three on-site carparks. Course signage is in miles and water is provided at miles 3, 6, 9 and at the finish area. Showers and toilets are available in the SETU Arena, and portaloo’s are placed near the start. A bag drop is provided inside the arena with tagging by race number.
Entry transfers and edits are permitted through the original entry system and MyRunResults within published transfer windows. Race results and split times are published on MyRunResults.
