About the race
The Waterford Viking Marathon marks its 15th year on 19 and 20 June 2027 in Waterford city. The event spans two days and comprises five races held as part of a festival of running that uses routes along the River Suir and through Mount Congreve Gardens, passing historic landmarks and city streets.

Options include in-person races and virtual entries for the Marathon, Half Marathon, or 10K; virtual participants receive the official finisher's medal and a premium event t-shirt by post.
Entry benefits and items:
- Finishers in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and Run for All receive the event finisher's medal and a premium event t-shirt.
- Children in the Children's Run receive a finisher's medal; an event t-shirt is available to purchase during registration.
Logistics and collection:
- Postage of race numbers and t-shirts is available only within Ireland; international participants will be contacted about collection.
- Race numbers and t-shirts for the full, half and 10K may be posted; those for the Run for All can be collected at Race HQ or on the morning at Grattan Quay.
- Children's Run t-shirts can be collected on the morning at The RSC; no race numbers are required.
- Race number and t-shirt collection is planned at Race HQ in Garter Lane Theatre on the Friday and Saturday before the event.
- Transfers to a longer or shorter race are allowed via Eventmaster until 24 May; no transfers after that date.
