About the race
The Water Drop Dash takes place on March 20, 2027 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, Georgia. The event includes in-person and virtual running options and a post-race water festival linked to WaterSense Fix a Leak Week. The in-person 5K course was mapped by Racing Solutions and Chattahoochee Nature Center. The organizer describes the route as fast, flat, and Peachtree Qualifying along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
A 1 mile Fun Run follows the 5K road race. The event is presented by the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District. The run and the water festival are intended to encourage water conservation among metro Atlanta residents. Registration opens on November 2, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by option; in-person registrations close March 20, 2027 and virtual registrations close March 19, 2027.
Published registration fees are $50 for the 5K, $20 for the 1 mile Fun Run, $50 for the virtual 5K, $20 for the virtual 1 mile, and $40 for a Ghost Runner option that provides a mailed T-shirt. Virtual participants may complete their course during the event window and submit results online by the stated deadline. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
