Wasatch Trail Run Series – Dimple Dell
The Wasatch Trail Run Series holds events at Dimple Dell on April 29 and June 3. Races start and finish at Granite Park, located near 10000 South and 2700 East, Google map address 2725 Grouse Creek Cir, Sandy UT 84092. Parking at Granite Park is limited; larger dirt parking is available at the Dimple Dell East Trailhead on Mt Jordan Road and 3000 East, and at the west parking lot of the nearby church. Most parking is about 1/3 mile from the start area and attendants and signage will direct participants.
Course options are described below:
- Short course: 5.1 miles, 475 ft elevation gain.
- Long course: 8.4 miles, 1025 ft elevation gain.
The short course begins at Granite Park, follows about one mile on a wood chip trail, completes a three mile loop, and returns to the start. The long course follows the same route but includes two internal loop laps before returning to the finish.
Event logistics include on site shoe demos and a nutrition vendor, two post race yoga sessions, and a cupless approach to hydration. Water is provided at the start and finish only, so runners are advised to bring a hydration pack or bottle. Season pass holders who already have their bib do not need to check in and will use the same bib for all races. Registration for the June 3 event opens on Memorial Day weekend.
