The Course
The route traverses the central Wasatch Mountains. From the start in Kaysville, the course goes south to Bair Canyon, climbs to a ridge line, and follows the top of the range past landmarks including Francis Peak, Farmington Flats, and City Creek Pass to the Big Mountain Pass aid station. It continues over Bald Mountain to Lambs Canyon. The trail then goes up Lambs Canyon, through Mill Creek Canyon, past Dog and Desolation Lakes, and along the Wasatch Crest trail to Brighton. Runners then climb Katherine and Sunset Passes, descend into American Fork Canyon, and climb to Pole Line and Baker Passes. From there, the course goes around Mill Creek Peak, through sections called the "Glide" and the "Plunge," down to the Pot Hollow Canyon trail head, and climbs to join Cummings Parkway. It follows a ridge above Heber Valley, crosses Cascade Springs Road, and descends through Decker Canyon to the Deer Creek Reservoir Trail, finishing at Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park.
There are 15 aid stations along the course to support runners, including the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
