The East Canyon Marathon takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Morgan, Utah (750 E Como Springs Road, Morgan, UT 84050). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K

- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
Additional entries listed by the organizer include pacer positions that are invitation only and a Virtual Race. Published entry fees include $39.95 for the 5K and 10K, $80 for the Half Marathon, $100 for the Full Marathon, $35 for the Virtual Race, and $1,000 for each pacer entry. Course and route
The Full Marathon begins at Big Mountain Pass at the top of Emigration Canyon and proceeds east. The course runs through stands of pine and aspen and follows several miles alongside the East Canyon Reservoir. The Full Marathon joins the Half Marathon about three quarters of the way around the reservoir; the Half Marathon begins near the reservoir and then follows a route down Red Rock Canyon, noted for distinct rock formations. Around mile 20 the course transitions into farmland with fields of grain and barns. The 10K and 5K are out-and-back courses that start at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, which is the common finish area for the longer distances.
