East Canyon Marathon
The East Canyon Marathon takes place in Morgan, Utah on August 29, 2026. The event is based at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, 750 E Como Springs Road, and includes multiple race options and a virtual entry.

The full marathon begins overlooking Salt Lake City at the Big Mountain Pass at the top of Emigration Canyon and heads east. The route passes through stands of pine and aspen trees and follows several miles along the East Canyon Reservoir. About three quarters of the way around the reservoir the full marathon joins the half marathon start, then continues down Red Rock Canyon where the course passes distinctive rock formations and open landscapes. Around mile 20 the course moves into farmland with fields of grain and farm buildings.
The 10K and 5K are out-and-back courses that start where all distances finish at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. The event includes both in-person pacer options that are invitation only and a virtual race option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
