Winter Classic 5K : event details
The Winter Classic 5K takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event address is 64 Sidney St, Cambridge, MA 02139. The event includes in-person and virtual options.

The in-person course starts and finishes in downtown Cambridge and runs along Mass Ave. The course is described as fast and flat. Festive attire is allowed but not required.
Registration, swag and awards
Registration fees are tiered: $40 until October 10; $42.50 from October 11 through November 10; $45 from November 11 through December 1; $50 during race week if available. Virtual registration closes on December 7, 2025.
Participants can choose either a long sleeve gender-specific technical shirt or a winter running hat when registering. Both items can be purchased together for an additional $12. Swag must be picked up during bib pick up before the race; it will not be available after the race and will not be mailed unless the participant is virtual. T-shirts are limited to the first 3,200 registered runners.
Awards are given to the top 3 overall male, female and non-binary finishers and the top 3 male and female finishers in age divisions: under 14; 14-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. Winners are notified by email the Friday after the race and awards are mailed about two weeks after the race. There is no day-of award ceremony.
