Walt Cunningham Angels' Race for Space 5k/10k and Family Fun Run
The event takes place on October 24, 2026 at Space Center Houston, 1601 E NASA Pkwy, Houston TX 77058. It raises funds for Be An Angel to improve quality of life for children with special needs by providing adaptive equipment, hearing devices, respite care, select services, and support programs.

Registration opening and closing dates differ by event; most 5K and family registrations open May 30, 2026, while some 10K entries open June 22, 2026. Most in-person registrations close October 11, 2026; family fun run registration remains open through the event date and the virtual option closes October 25, 2026.
Packet pickup is scheduled at two Sun & Ski Sports locations: October 22 from noon to 6 p.m. at 6100 Westheimer Rd #126 Houston TX 77057, and October 23 from noon to 6 p.m. at 1355 W Bay Area Blvd, Webster TX 77598. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
