Houston Heights Fun Run : 41st Annual
The Houston Heights Fun Run is a community running event held at Marmion Park on the 1800 block of Heights Boulevard in Houston, TX. The 2026 edition is the 41st annual race; the event began in 1985 and has been held every year since.
The event program includes multiple distances and a walk:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Kids 1K
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified with codes TX17062LAB and TX17061LAB respectively. The course is described as flat, with one turn on the 5K route and three turns on the 10K route.
Race organizers present the event as a community fun run. The Kids 1K allows parents to accompany children on the course; parents who accompany a child should start in the back so they do not impede independent participants. Parents who wish to receive event items such as a T shirt, bib, medal and post race refreshment may register for the Kids 1K.
The event is organized by the Houston Heights Association and takes place at Marmion Park, 1800 Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX 77008. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
