Harris County HOWL-O-WEEN Race
The Harris County HOWL-O-WEEN Race takes place on October 10, 2026 in Houston, Texas at 7575 North Sam Houston Pkwy W. The event is in person only and includes evening Halloween themed race elements such as glowing lights, themed photo ops, vendor booths, music, costume elements, giveaways, and other Halloween surprises.
The event offers road race distances and entry categories as follows:
- 5K (3.1 Miles) for Harris County employees and retirees; free registration for eligible participants.
- 5K (3.1 Miles) for friends, family, and kids; paid registration applies.
- 10K (6.2 Miles) for Harris County employees and retirees; paid registration applies.
- 10K (6.2 Miles) for friends, family, and kids; paid registration applies.
Registration opens August 3, 2026. Registration for the 10K closes September 27, 2026; registration for the 5K closes September 28, 2026. Employee and retiree entries require a full time Harris County employee or retiree status and submission of an employee ID number during registration.
