Wallace Huckleberry Festival and 5k Fun Run
The Wallace Huckleberry Festival runs from August 14 to August 16, 2026, in Historic Downtown Wallace, Idaho. The weekend program includes a huckleberry pancake breakfast, a vendor market with food and crafts, live music, children’s activities such as face painting and carnival games, and a huckleberry bake off with trophies and cash prizes.
The 5k Fun Run covers 3.1 miles on an out and back route that begins at the Wallace Elks Lodge and climbs about 1.5 miles up King Street and Placer Creek Road. Children, strollers, and leashed dogs may participate. Costumes are welcomed and awards will be given for best human costume and best dog costume.
All 5k participants receive a Huck Fest 5k commemorative T shirt and a token for a huckleberry breakfast or lunch at the Brooks Hotel. The lunch token is valid only on Saturday, August 15; breakfast is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Registration for the 5k opens February 28, 2026 and the entry fee is $50. Registrations made by August 5, 2026 are noted to guarantee T shirt size availability.
Vendor opportunities are juried with set booth fees for 10 by 10 and 10 by 20 spaces and for food trucks. Accepted vendors are required to be open during scheduled festival hours and overnight security is provided on Friday and Saturday. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
