Kellogg Firecracker 5k
The Kellogg Firecracker 5k takes place in Kellogg, Idaho on July 4, 2026 at 2 Hill St. The event offers two 5K walk/run options and is organized as an untimed community run.
The course starts in the pool parking lot and follows a paved loop through Kellogg. Runners and walkers will encounter some hills, use a section of the Trail of the Cd'A's, and finish at the Oddfellows picnic area east of the pool near the ball field. The route will be marked with chalk or other signage and the full route is available through Map My Run.
There will be no street closures. Organizers note that sidewalks in Kellogg are in poor condition, so running in the street may be safer at times. Runners are asked to run against the flow of traffic when possible as a matter of etiquette.
Registration options include a paid entry that includes a shirt and a no-shirt free entry. The shirt order deadline is June 19, 2026. Registration opens May 22, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
