Event Overview
The Walkington 10k is a road running race held on Friday, 10 July 2026. It is organized by Beverley AC. The event has a UK Athletics licence for 2026.
Course and Route
The 10 km race starts on Little Weighton Road in Walkington. The route is described as an undulating, picturesque, rural loop that goes to Little Weighton and returns to Walkington. The finish line is on the village playing fields. Chip timing for the race is provided by Sports Timing Solutions.
Race Headquarters and Entry
The Race HQ is located on Walkington Playing Fields, off Beech View in Walkington, Beverley. Entry fees are £15.50 for UKA-affiliated club members and £17.50 for all other entrants. An optional race t-shirt can be purchased separately for £10. Entrants must be aged 15 or older on race day.
Race Details and Prizes
There is a 90-minute time limit to complete the course. Race numbers and timing chips are to be collected on the night of the event. All finishers receive a memento.
Prizes are awarded based on chip times. Categories include 1st to 5th male and female, and 1st male and female in various veteran age categories (U19, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70, V75+).
