Mental Elf Festive Fun Run : North Lincolnshire
The Mental Elf Festive Fun Run is a family friendly 5 km event held on Sunday 6 December 2026 at Central Park, Scunthorpe (DN16 1AB). The course comprises two anti-clockwise laps, is relatively flat, and is tarmac throughout except for a short section through the woods on each lap. The start is at the Central Park entrance via Centenary Way, off Ashby Road, behind The Civic Centre car park and opposite The Pods Leisure Centre.
The event is open to all ages and abilities. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult; children under 5 enter free. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a short lead, with a maximum of one dog per adult. Festive fancy dress is encouraged but not required.
Ticket prices include a place in the run, a runner number, a medal (which doubles as a Christmas decoration) and a goodie bag. Tickets include a donation to North Lincolnshire Mind; an 'Eager Elf' 20% discount is applied automatically to tickets purchased before 25 September. Discounts are also available for family and group or corporate teams. Tickets are non-refundable except where the event is cancelled or rescheduled, in which case a refund option will be available.
Parking is available at the main park car park off Kingsway or the car park behind UCNL next to the start; both are free. Toilets are provided near the start/finish area by the cafe.
