Mental Elf Festive Fun Run - North Lincolnshire
North Lincolnshire Mind is holding a family friendly 5K fun run at Central Park, Scunthorpe on Sunday 6 December 2026. The event is open to all ages and abilities; participants may walk, run, skip or dance around the route. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 5 enter free. Well behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome, maximum one dog per adult.
The course starts at the Central Park entrance via Centenary Way off Ashby Road, behind The Civic Centre car park and opposite The Pods Leisure Centre. The route consists of two anti-clockwise laps, is relatively flat and is all tarmac except for a short section through the woods in the middle of each lap. Parking is available at the main park car park off Kingsway and the car park beside UCNL near the start; both are free. Toilets are provided at the start and finish area near the cafe.
Entry includes a runner number, a medal that also serves as a Christmas decoration and a goody bag. Ticket prices include a donation to North Lincolnshire Mind. Discounts are available for family and group or corporate teams, and an early bird 'Eager Elf' 20% discount applies before 30 September. Tickets are non refundable except in the event of a cancellation or reschedule when a refund option will be offered.
Volunteer roles are available and fundraising is optional; participants are encouraged to consider fundraising with an informal aim of £25 per person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
