Walk for Paws 5K in Pleasant Hill
Walk for Paws 2026 is a community fundraising walk organized by Contra Costa Humane Society on August 30, 2026 at Pleasant Hill City Hall Park, 100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. The event is a morning community walk and celebration that supports homeless animals throughout Contra Costa County.
The walk is a 5K walking-only event and is dog friendly; dogs attend free. Funds and donations support medical care, foster programs, adoption services, and other lifesaving programs for animals in the county. Participants can create personal fundraising pages to raise additional support for these services.
Event activities include sponsor and community partner booths, a Pup Cup Station, photo opportunities, a Best Dressed Pup Contest, giveaways while supplies last, and other on-site experiences. Registration includes participation in the walk, access to event activities and sponsor experiences, entry into the Best Dressed Pup Contest, and access to the Pup Cup Station.
Registration pricing is tiered: Early Bird registration is $35 through July 15, 2026; regular registration is $45 from July 16 through August 29, 2026; event day registration is $50.
