Walk for Hope and Recovery Festival
The Walk for Hope and Recovery Festival is the ninth annual community walk and festival hosted by the Addiction Recovery Team in partnership with the Weymouth Prevention Alliance and Old South Union Church (OSU). The event takes place on September 19, 2026, in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, and the 1.4 mile route begins and ends at Old South Union Church, 25 Columbian St.
After the walk there will be music, food, and resource tables. The event is open to all and aims to bring community members together to address the stigma of addiction and to recognize recovery efforts.
Registration includes an option to request a t-shirt. To be guaranteed a t-shirt, registration must be completed by September 1 to allow time for production. Registrations and donations remain accepted after that date, but no additional t-shirt orders will be placed; a limited supply of t-shirts will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Suggested donation amounts include $5, $10, $15, and $20; donations of $5 or more will receive a t-shirt. Donation is not required for participation. One hundred percent of donations will support the Addiction Recovery Team’s work to sustain the walk and support local prevention and recovery efforts.
