Beantown Marathon : Event details
Beantown Marathon takes place at Bare Cove Park in Hingham, MA. The event is a USATF-certified, closed loop course run as six loops. The field is limited to 500 registrants.
The race is organized as a pace-staggered start grouped by desired finish time, with multiple pacing groups formed from registrant selections. Chip timing is provided and two course timing checkpoints are used to verify complete laps. Runners are responsible for counting their own laps; the finish line is pulled off the loop and will be clearly signed.
On-course support includes four general water stops, elite bottle/fuel stations that can be stocked with a runner’s own drinks and snacks, and an optional personal hydration table labeled by bib number. Portable toilets are located near the parking/park entrance and on the course. Medical coverage includes two EMTs on an all-terrain vehicle and a stationary medical unit at the finish area.
Additional race services include registrant gear check, designated spectator areas where supporters can see runners each loop, post-race snacks and refreshments, and event swag including a unisex hoodie and finisher medal. Packet pickup is scheduled at Marathon Sports in Norwell; there is no packet pickup on race day. Parking is accessed via Bare Cove Park Drive with on-site parking available on a first-come basis.
