Beantown Marathon
The Beantown Marathon takes place at Bare Cove Park on Fort Hill Street in Hingham, MA on September 6, 2026. The event is a USATF certified, closed loop course that consists of six laps and is limited to 500 registrants.
The race is organized as a Boston Marathon qualifying opportunity and uses pace-staggered start groups based on goal finish time. Chip timing is provided and two course timing checkpoints are used to verify lap completion. Runners may stock designated elite bottle and fuel stations with personal drinks and snacks; general water stations are also provided. There are four primary water stops on the course, located so that runners encounter them multiple times during the race, and a personal hydration table area labeled by bib number.
Support logistics include a registrant gear check, plentiful portable toilets, designated spectator areas where supporters see runners on every loop, and on-course medical coverage with two EMTs in an all-terrain vehicle plus a stationary medical unit at the finish area. Packet pickup is scheduled the Friday and Saturday before the race at Marathon Sports in Norwell. A cutoff time of 1 pm is in effect per the event permit. Runners are responsible for tracking their own laps and following posted course signage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
