Chelsea Road Race 5K
The Chelsea Road Race 5K is scheduled for September 5, 2026, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, with activity centered at the Williams School at 180 Walnut Street. This is the event's third annual running and it highlights local landmarks along a community route.
Distances:
- 5K
- 5K Wheelchair
The event introduces, for the first time, separate wheelchair divisions for female and male participants. The program is organized by the City of Chelsea Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs and is funded in part by the Chelsea Community Fund and a grant from the Chelsea Cultural Council supported by Mass Cultural Council.
Logistics note that a portion of the course will be under construction before the event; participants should expect road plates and uneven pavement in those sections. The course reopens for road traffic one hour after the race begins, after which runners may need to use sidewalks to finish.
Entry details list a fee of $25 for the 5K and $25 for the 5K Wheelchair category. The first 500 registered participants will receive an official event T shirt and all finishers will receive a commemorative medal. The registration fee for the first six wheelchair entries will be waived with promo code CHELSEAUNITED2026.
