Walk for Dyslexia 2026
The Walk for Dyslexia takes place on May 16, 2026, and benefits the Madison Area Children’s Dyslexia Center. The center offers free, individualized tutoring for Dane County children who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling. The event includes both an in-person walk/fun run and a virtual option. No official timing is provided for the course.

Location and participation
The in-person event is held at Brittingham Park, 829 W. Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53715. Dogs are allowed at the park; dogs must be on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet. Entry fee for each event is listed as $25. Online registration and donations include an added processing fee; mailed registrations and donations may avoid that fee if mailed before May 1, 2026. Online registration closes on May 16, 2026, and mailed donations are accepted continuously.
Teams of five or more receive a $5 discount per team member; the discount is issued as a refund once the team reaches the minimum number. The virtual option allows participants to complete a 5K in their own area or by tracking steps over a few days (about 6,000 steps equals a 5K).
