15th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes - Jonesboro
The 15th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a 5K Walk and Run against domestic violence held on October 17, 2026, at Clayton County International Park in Jonesboro, Georgia. The event is organized by Sisters Empowerment Network and offers both in-person and virtual participation options so people can take part from the park or from another location.
Event features include a fitness warmup before the 5K and a Unity in the Community celebration after the walk with music, raffles, prizes, service and resource vendors, merchandise vendors, and food boxes for families. The start and finish are located at the St. Thomas Pavilion inside Clayton County International Park, and an awards ceremony will be held there after the event.
Awards are given for first, second, and third place runners and walkers, and a trophy is presented to the team captain with the largest number of paid participants for the Biggest Team Challenge. Registration by Friday, September 25 guarantees an official 5K t-shirt and swag bag for both virtual and in-person participants; registrations after that date may not include those items.
