15th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
The 15th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a 5K walk and run held on October 17, 2026, at Clayton County International Park, St. Thomas Pavilion, 2300 Walt Stephens Rd, Jonesboro, Georgia. The event is organized by Sisters Empowerment Network and raises awareness of domestic violence while supporting survivors.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation. In-person activity centers on the St. Thomas Pavilion with a start and finish at that location. Virtual participants may complete the 5K from any location and still be included in event results and activities that accommodate remote participation.
Awards and group recognition are part of the event program. Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third place runners and walkers. A prize is presented to the team with the largest number of paid participants for the Biggest Team Challenge. Additional on-site features include a fitness warmup, a community celebration after the 5K with music, raffles, prizes and a vendor market with service and merchandise vendors. Food boxes for families are listed among event services.
