Dyslexia Dash - October 17, 2026
The Dyslexia Dash is an annual event presented by the International Dyslexia Association Georgia (IDA-GA) to support outreach, teacher training scholarships, HARC grants, and other IDA-GA initiatives. The event includes both in-person and virtual options and offers race shirts and participant bags.
The in-person portion is held at Perimeter Mall, Atlanta. The Start/Finish is on Perimeter Center Parkway NE on the back side of the mall. The festival area is in Nordstrom’s back parking lot next to Von Maur; parking is available in Von Maur’s lot (look for poles 71 and 72) or outside the festival area in front of Nordstrom. The in-person 5K is chip-timed and listed as a Peachtree qualifier. Awards will be given to top finishers by overall, masters, and age-group categories. A 50/50 raffle and a Teacher Appreciation raffle are part of the event.
Virtual participants may complete a 5K between October 1 and October 17; virtual race shirts are scheduled to be mailed the week of October 19. The festival includes a photo booth, Kids’ Zone games and crafts, face painting, food vendors, sponsor booths, and a Dyslexia Talent & Creativity Showcase. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available, and donor recognition on the event t-shirt is tied to specified fundraising thresholds and deadlines.
