Wakefield Hospice 5K 2027
The Wakefield Hospice 5K takes place in Wakefield, West Yorkshire on Sunday 14 March 2027. The event is a road race over 5 kilometres on a flat, shortened out-and-back route that shares the same start and finish line as the Wakefield Hospice 10K.
The race is open to entrants aged 11 and over. The course is suitable for wheelchairs and is a single lap. Entry is limited to 225 places; the organiser reports available places at the time of listing. A commemorative Wakefield Hospice finisher t-shirt is provided to every finisher. Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, baggage storage and medical services; there are no showers on site.
Race headquarters is at Thornes Park, Horbury Road, Wakefield WF2 8TY. Parking is available at several nearby locations on the day. Entry fees are shown as £16.00 to £18.00; these prices include race fees, card charges and administration. Entry on the day is not available. Refunds are offered up to 28 days before the event and places may be transferred to another runner up to three weeks before the event. The organiser notes that a race licence is to be applied for.
