Wakefield Hospice 5K 2026
Wakefield Hospice 5K is a community road race held in Wakefield, West Yorkshire on 22 March 2026. The event covers 5 kilometres on a flat, single lap course that turns around at the 2.8 km mark. The race is organised by Wakefield Hospice to raise funds for patient care.
The event is open to participants aged 11 and over and the course is suitable for wheelchairs. Entry is limited to 300 places. Entry fees are listed as £14 for affiliated runners and £16 for unaffiliated runners; fees include race charges and administration. Entry on the day is not available. Refunds are offered up to 28 days before the event and places may be transferred to another runner up to 14 days before the event.
Race headquarters is at Thornes Park, Horbury Road, Wakefield WF2 8TY. Facilities available on the day include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and baggage storage; there are no showers. Event-day services noted include food and drink, physio, commentary, a property tent and medical services. Every finisher receives a commemorative Wakefield Hospice t-shirt. Photographers will be present and participation implies consent for images to be used for event publicity.
