Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival 5K Run/Walk and Maple 1-Mile Run/Walk
The event takes place on April 25, 2026, at NorthWood Middle School, 301 North Elkhart Street, Wakarusa, IN 46573. It offers a short road race and a one-mile course with options for different age groups and a combined entry that covers both distances.

- Maple 1-Mile Run/Walk
Age guidelines are specified for each event. The one-mile events include a kids category for ages 4–12 and a competitive category for ages 13 and older. The 5K and the combo option require participants to be at least 6 years old. All participants must be registered.
Packet pick-up is available the day before and on event day; Friday night pickup is encouraged to reduce race-day delays. A t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by March 15, 2026; a no-shirt option is offered for a lower fee. Strollers are allowed in both events; bikes, scooters, skates, and similar items are not permitted. Pets are not allowed except for certified service animals.
Chip timing is provided by Watts My Time. There are no refunds. Parking is available at NorthWood Middle School and at Wakarusa Elementary School. Awards are given to top finishers in the one-mile runs and to overall and age-group top finishers in the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
