Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival Run/Walk
The Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival Run/Walk takes place on April 25, 2026 in Wakarusa, Indiana. The event is based at NorthWood Middle School, 301 North Elkhart Street, Wakarusa, IN 46573. Race options include the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Run/Walk (kids 12 and under)
- 1-Mile Competitive Run/Walk (ages 13 and older)
- Combo option for the 1-Mile and 5K
Registration details: registration for the competitive 1-mile opens January 1, 2026. Race fees rise after December 31, 2025. A race t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by March 15, 2026; a no-shirt option reduces the fee by $5.
Logistics, policies, and awards
Packet pickup is available Friday, April 24 and on race day; pickup locations include NorthWood Middle School and a Friday night option listed at the American Legion. Chip timing is provided by Watts My Time. Parking is available at NorthWood Middle School and Wakarusa Elementary School (400 N Washington St). The event policy allows strollers but prohibits bikes, scooters, skates, and similar items. Pets are not allowed; certified service animals are permitted. No refunds are offered.
Awards include top three male and female overall finishers in the 5K and top three finishers in each 5K age group. The 1-mile runs award the top three boys and girls in the 12-and-under and 13-and-older categories. Multi-person pricing and additional group discounts are offered for group registrations.
